Care and Cleaning of Cultured Marble

g33_017

Cultured marble is one of the easiest bathroom surfaces to maintain.

It is usually cleaned with soap, a mild detergent, or Windex products.  Do not use any product containing abrasives. Regular sanitizing bathroom cleaners like Tilex or Fantastic work well.  Be sure to read the product label to make sure the product is safe to use and does not contain abrasives.

Keeping on top of soap scum build up before it gets out of control is always a good idea.  If there  is a soap scum build up it can be removed with 50/50 mixture of water and distilled white vinegar. Rinse after cleaning.  If you’re cleaning cultured marble because of hard water stains, use the same water and vinegar solution, but let sit and dry for 30 minutes. Use a damp, soft cloth to wipe down.  To clean sticky substances like hairspray, you can use denatured alcohol.  Make sure test a small area first.  Use just a little and work slowly and patiently until removed.
